What are Polynucleotides?

Polynucleotide (PN) treatments are cutting-edge regenerative injectables designed to repair and rejuvenate the skin at a cellular level. Derived from DNA molecules, these treatments work by stimulating tissue repair, improving hydration, and boosting skin elasticity. Polynucleotides are particularly effective for reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity while enhancing overall skin quality.

From our clinic in Sutton Coldfield, we offer a range of non-surgical cosmetic treatments to combat the signs of ageing, whilst maintaining a natural appearance.

How do Polynucleotide treatments work?

Polynucleotides promote fibroblast activity, which leads to increased collagen and elastin production. They also have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making them highly beneficial for skin healing and repair. Unlike fillers, which add volume, polynucleotides improve the skin’s structure and function, leading to long-term rejuvenation. This revolutionary treatment is available at our clinic in Sutton Coldfield.

Benefits of Polynucleotide treatments:
• Stimulates collagen and elastin production
• Enhances skin hydration and elasticity
• Reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging
• Aids in skin regeneration and repair
• Suitable for delicate areas like under the eyes and neck

Who is suitable for Polynucleotide treatments?

Polynucleotide treatment is very versatile and can treat a wide range of skin concerns, meaning that they are suitable for many different people. Skin concerns they can address include:
• Lines, wrinkles and signs of ageing
• Acne, surgical or trauma scars
• Dehydration and sun damage (hyperpigmentation)
• Rosacea
• Skin laxity
• Hair loss (alopecia)
• Stretch marks

Polynucleotides can be used to treat the face and neck, décolletage, arms, knees and abdomen. They are especially useful in the eye area as a safe alternative to dermal filler tear trough treatment for those sensitive to Hyaluronic Acid.

We will always ask you to attend a preliminary consultation at our Sutton Coldfield clinic so we can ensure that polynucleotide treatment will not only be effective in delivering significant results but is medically safe for you to undergo. We can only treat patients who are over 18, and as with any injectable procedure, there can be reasons why the treatment is not advisable or suitable.

What happens during a Polynucleotide treatment?

A series of small injections are administered to the treatment area using a fine needle or cannula. The procedure is relatively quick, typically taking around 30 minutes. A numbing cream may be applied beforehand to enhance comfort.

After your treatment you may experience some bee sting-type bumps at the injection sites and your skin may feel a little tender. You may also experience some redness and potential light bruising, but these are all natural reactions and will subside in a day or so.

We usually recommend four treatment sessions a month apart for optimum results. Maintenance sessions are usually required once every 6 to 12 months, but your clinician will decide on the optimal treatment plan for your individual needs and personal

Is there any downtime?

Mild redness, swelling, or bruising may occur at the injection sites but usually subsides within 24-48 hours. Most patients can resume normal activities immediately after treatment.

When will I see results, and how long do they last?

Initial results, including improved skin hydration and radiance, can be seen within a few weeks. However, the full regenerative effects develop over a few months as collagen production increases. Results typically last 6-12 months, with maintenance treatments recommended for sustained benefits.
